Russian Metal Icons

The book Russian Metal Icons, written and compiled by Ferenc and Christel Tóth, has been published in March 2019. It is written in English and contains 152 pages and 284 colour illustrations. The subjects in the book are Signed metal icons, Christ, Mother of God, Feast Days, Crosses and Saints. The chapter Saints is classified into the groups: Prophet Elijah, Saint John, Church Fathers, Bishops, Monks and Ascetics, Warrior Saints, Doctor- and Pharmacist- Saints, Wedding Saints and Female Saints.

It is not our intention to attempt a complete account of the subject in this book. Rather we try to give an insight into the rich variety of subjects and representation in the world of Russian metal icons.
